Asphalt & Concrete Production

Tamarind Private Parking Lot

The asphalt works include milling the existing asphalt surface where necessary, supplying and installing a tack coat, and providing and installing a 2 cm asphalt top layer. The total surface area covered is approximately 200 m².

Princess Juliana Airport Asphalt Works

The asphalt works at Princess Juliana Airport involved comprehensive resurfacing and maintenance, including various areas of the runway, asphalt surfaces by the gates, and hard stands. The project focused on enhancing durability and safety, ensuring smooth and reliable operations throughout the airport’s critical areas.

Bush Road Asphalt

This project involved supplying and installing 100-150 tons of asphalt on Bush Road, including base layers near Domino Pizza. Reinforcement was applied to areas with cracks, and the road was cleaned before each phase of work.

Road markings were installed, including solid and dashed lines, arrows, zebra crossings, and shark teeth, both with and without paint and beads. The project also included applying a tack coat on concrete surfaces and preparing the paint for spraying.

Hard Re-surfacing Road Project

This project involved the design and construction of concrete hard surfaces on various roads in Sint Maarten. The scope included assessing and designing the road alignment and slope for optimal drainage, followed by excavation and debris removal. The construction phase involved backfilling, installing a crushed aggregate base course, placing construction plastic foil, and applying fiber tensile concrete. To ensure durability, a curing compound was applied upon completion.

Motor World Asphalt

The project involved site preparation, excavation, and installation of asphalt layers. Preparatory work included cleaning, removing concrete, excavation, and installing CTBC. Main works involved mobilizing equipment, surface cleaning, tack coating, asphalt gridding, and laying a 5 cm top layer over 1,965 m², with an additional 760 m² treated similarly. An asphalt sealer was applied to 925 m² at the front part of Motor World.

Lowlands Asphalt

At Lotissement les Terres Basses, we completed asphalt milling and removal over 735m², followed by installing a 10cm base course foundation and a 7cm asphalt layer. At Impasse du Mont Rouge (Corner 1), we removed sections of concrete, carried out groundwork, and installed new concrete curbs (35m and 55m). We also placed asphalt (30-50cm width) between the new curb and the existing road for a smooth transition.

The Towers Asphalt

The project involved groundworks, grading, and compacting the subbase, followed by the installation of a 10 cm WWR base course over 2,090 m². Curbs were installed, including low, high, and drainage curbs. The concrete parking deck surface was cleaned and treated with a tack coat.

The pavement works included laying a 6 cm asphalt top layer over 1,375 m² and installing 80 mm anthracite paver stones over 1,165 m², on top of a 5 cm sand base. Indirect costs covered mobilization, transport, surveying, testing, and site management. Additionally, two provisional gutters were installed.

VROMI – Juancho Yrausquin Boulevard

The project involved milling the existing asphalt surface to a depth of 40 mm and replacing it with a 60 mm asphalt layer. The works included the installation of asphalt reinforcement in two designated areas, followed by road marking and design to ensure clear and safe traffic guidance.

VROMI – Sucker Garden

This project involved replacing 2,160 m² of asphalt (360 m x 6 m) by milling the existing top layer (4 cm) and inspecting for necessary reinforcement. A new asphalt surface layer (25 mm, 8 cm) was then applied. Additional works included installing a concrete swale for drainage, replacing concrete covers, and adding a raised SWAL for safety. We also constructed a new culvert, installed grids, and enhanced road safety with reflective cat eyes and a protective schrik fence. Road markings were applied to ensure clear traffic guidance.

VROMI – Oyster Pond

This project involved the rehabilitation of a road section by replacing 560m² of worn asphalt to enhance durability and driving comfort. We also replaced 420m² of the foundation in areas where the existing base was compromised, ensuring a stable and long-lasting surface.

Additionally, we constructed a 20m raised curvet wall to improve road safety and manage surface runoff effectively. The upgrades ensure better road conditions and longevity for daily use.

Indigo Bay Parking Lot Asphalt

The project encompassed demolition, site cleaning, erosion protection, groundworks, asphalt paving, and drainage enhancements. Asphalt works involved creating a new parking lot. Additional tasks included installing drainage lines, manholes, parking lot drainage, slope stabilization with a concrete wall, and a road barrier installation.
